The journal is extremely privileged to have Prof. Hiroaki Satoh as its Editor-in-Chief, leading the board of academic editorial panel. The journal expresses appreciation for professional execution of his responsibilities which include spearheading the overall editorial activity of the journal and gaining commercial acclaim in open access publishing in addition to coining the special issue themes and guiding the compilation and production of special issues and titles as per the contemporary information demands.

Prof. Hiroaki Satoh is currently working as Associate Professor, Department of Nephrology, Hypertension, Diabetology, Endocrinology, and Metabolism, Fukushima Medical University, Japan. Dr. Satoh is MD from Akita University, Japan and subsequently obtained doctorate in medicine from University of Tokyo, Japan. He has nearly two decades of professional experience in the field of diabetes metabolism. His core research interests include endocrinology, metabolomics, general internal medicine and diabetic nephropathy. He is a member of core National committees and associations of nephrology, hypertension, endocrine system, atherosclerosis, diabetes and internal medicine in Japan. He has authored several International publications which were widely and frequently cited all across the world. He has multiple research grants to his credit in diabetology, lipid metabolism, insulin resistance and arteriosclerosis. He is active participant in several International conferences on diabetes metabolism.

Dr. Satoh consistently brings in fresh insights guided by his passion for diabetes-oriented research and he is a great asset to advance our open access model of publishing in the highly sought after field of diabetes metabolism. Dr. Satoh’s academic and research experience is highly valuable and relevant in guiding the contemporary researchers to advance scientific enquiry and explorations as well as in conducting editorship to make their research globally discoverable; helping the medical education sector avail the digital resources and helping the clinical professionals in keeping themselves updated with latest observations.
